WE ARE CLOSED FOR THE WINTER

WATCH THIS PAGE FOR 2010 OPENING DATE

                               Friends In Bluegrass

                    The All American Bluegrass Band

We have been watching the Wulenweber kids grow up in bluegrass music. Now they have Mom & Dad in their band called Barnstormin' Bluegrass Band.

Kenny Stinson and Perfect Tymin' gave us quite a treat with their great pickin' & singin'.  And what about that 14 year old bass player!!!!

Common Ground was absolutely awesome here at the barn. And the fellow on the end could really play that fiddle. Of course you recognize Michael Cleveland, IBMA fiddle player of the yer AGAIN>

Berachah Valley has a few new faces and the same great sound.

     Cornfields & Crossroads--always crowd pleasers!

Earl was full of it when he was here--he was so funny!! And great music.

The James King Band was so gracious to have the Young Guns of Bluegrass on state to pick with them. I am sure the kids will never forget it. Thanks!!!

James King was SPGMA traditional male vocalist of the year:                                                2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 & is nominated for 2009.

d a wonderful show  last Sunday

                        Thank You Berachah Valley

All American Bluegrass Band plus Nate. The bass player didn't make it to the show so Mark played bass  & asked Nate to play banjo!!  What a treat for Nate.

Guys do you remember the first time he played with you when he was about 12 & I helped him tune his banjo in the cold hallway? Then when he hit the warm stage it was so out of tune. He played all the right notes but it sounded so awful that I erased it from my video camera right away.

Heavenly Grass from Hamilton, Ohio gave us great gospel harmony .

Barnstormin' Bluegrass is a tight knit family with loads of talent. We have watched these kids grow up in music. We started watching them when Rebecca knew only one song on the mandolin---Redwing.

Bluegrass Fellowship is a new group. Nate plays with them. Good show guys.

                    Evan Lanier & Bluegrass Express

                                  Red sing with his wife

Lori Lyn & New Outlook were awesome. We had only heard their demo & were very much pleased with their live show. Hope they come back!!!

                            Cornfields & Crossroads

They came from Indy via Ohio to get to Bath, Indiana--go figure GPS

Wes, Mark, Duane & Harold came from festival in Illinois last nite to give us a good show here at the barn today.  Thanks guys.

                        Mark Poe and Nathan Treadway

James White Band with 7 year old Kyle Ramey on mandolin & Fiddle had our crowd on their feet . That little guy is quite a musician as well as a showman.

                                    Homeward Bound

Thanks Everyone For A Good Show

Left to Right:  David Ladd, Chris Ladd, Teresa Collins, Grandaughter of Teresa & Dennis, Ben Feeback, Dennis Collins & Tim Northem

                       Grandpa, little eyes are watching.

New Clover with Michael Reese was the feature band on May 31st. Michael is a music major at Berklee Boston and flew in for a few days to visit with his parents, Larry and Cindy Reese. 16 year old Max Reese plays banjo for the group and tore it up. And a nurse on the mandolin--what more could you ask for. What a show they put on. Thank you New Clover!

Michael is pictured with his mother, Cindy, & his father, Larry. Check out Michael's my space CHASING BLUE to hear his Boston based band.

Dennis Barrett Band was here for the first time Sunday. They sure gave us some excellent music. Thanks Rosie, Judy, Marvin, Dennis, & Jesse

I didn't get a very good picture of Jesse, did I ? He sure can play.

Marvin and Rosie are gettin' it done!!!

McCoy Grass was here this  Sunday, May 3rd. The first time they were here, it poured the rain. The second time they came, it poured the rain, the wind blew very hard , our electric went out & the wind tore the awning right off our camper..  This time they did not bring rain but did say we could call them for rain this summer when we need it. This is a high energy band and they gave us an outstanding show again.

McCoy Grass band news:  Congradulations to Kelly & Stanley for getting hitched this past January!!!!          AND look out Fairborn and world--Kaitlyn will soon be driving!!!!           AND Mc Coy Grass all gospel CD will be out around Memorial Day. The alredy have orders for it and will ship it to your house for no extra charge.

The first week we needed heat and the second week it was 84!! Doesn't matter for bluegrass, we had good music no matter what the weather.

999999999999999Bluegrass Fellowship is a newly formed band from Indiana and they gave us quite a show.

Left to Right : Nate, George, Carl, Don & Darrell

APRIL 19th was our first show of 2009. We had a cool day but kept the barn doors shut, turned up the heat and kept snug as a bug in a rug. It rained  and the wind blew outside while we listened to bluegrass inside.

Mark, Duane, Harold, Wes & Jeff didn't disappoint us. They were awesome.

                ALL AMERICAN BLUEGRASS BAND

Mark Poe is the guy who taught our grandson, Nate, play the banjo. . Sure glad Nate can play more than Cripple Creek because he wore that first song out when he was learning.

Alec Hurtubise, Dolly Bradshaw, Mark Baker, Alan McQueen, Gene Wagers, Nathan Treadway put on quite a show for us but it seemed to pass too quickly. Come back and do it again sometime, please!

Wreford and Company led off last Sunday afternoon with some great traditional bluegrass. Thanks guys!

Then came Alec Hurtubise from Zionsville, Indiana! This is another friend of Nate's that is in our "camping circle" at Bean Blossom. This 12 year old had the crowd giving him a well deserved standing ovation. We hope to get Alec back down here before we close out our season.

Mark Poe and the All American Bluegrass gave their usual excellent performance last Sunday. Hal had car trouble on the way here and missed most of the first set. Nate didn't mind because Mark asked him to play banjo with the band until Hal arrived. Don't suppose Nate had anything to do with Hal's car trouble.

Our own "chewin' & spitin'" Wreford Meyers sings and plays upright bass for the group. Check out the cup in his bridge in the picture above. HINT: This is not his drinking cup!

Thanks to Dolly, Larry and "kids" for their "Throwed Together" Band as Larry named them. Ben, Chris, David and Max did an entertaining show also. Everyone always enjoys hearing Dolly and the Young Rascals--Kyle, Nate, David, Michael, and Max. Evan we missed you but had no idea all those young boys were going to be here.

Thanks to our friends from Branson Missouri, GOLDWING EXPRESS. They drove all night from way over near Wheeling , West Virginia to do 2 shows on Sunday at our Flatland Bluegrass Barn. And what crowd pleasers they were with their wonderful show. We had a packed house with overflow outside.

Just before Goldwing Express Show, Dolly and the Yound Rascals had performed on stage. The group was Dolly Bradshaw and a group of young pickers aged 11 to 18. At the end of Goldwing Express last set, they invited those young boys up on the stage for some hard driving bluegrass insturmentals to close out the show. Too bad that Kyle and Brandon had already headed back to Madison, Indiana. It was awesome!! Like Steve said "the future of bluegrass is in good hands with those boys".
